Harry Reid Plans to BLOCK BUSH Recess APPOINTMENTS! Can we say Fredo's Successor?

(Caveat...this was posted on "Think Progress" but the link went to "Washington Whispers" so this might not be TRUE...but a way to PUSH Reid to get his butt in gear ...because NetRoots KNOWS the CHIMP will play dirty and Reid needs to keep a Quorum in Place AT ALL TIMES DURING Recesses!) Since "original source" is "Washington Whispers" it would seem that Reid hasn't fully signed on but it was sent up as a "Trial Baloon" by either his aides or the "Progressive Caucus."

We hear that over the long August vacation, when those types of summer hires are made, Reid will call the Senate into session just long enough to force the prez to send his nominees who need confirmation to the chamber. The talk is he will hold a quickie “pro forma” session every 10 days, tapping a local senator to run the hall. Senate workers and Republicans are miffed, but Reid is proving that he’s the new sheriff in town.\

1. Sure do wish he could figure a way to back out the three Bush recessed

last time. Those were three doozies. One to slap Kerry, one to kill SS and one to kill government regs.

This new one Bush has waiting to be recessed is another fox/henhouse type deal.

2. I know...and there were "whispers" that ts ..BUThere would be Investigation

the other stuff on the "back burner" that's important intervened. Let's hope that THEY finally GET IT! :shrug: It's all we can do besides keeping the PRESSURE GOING that Reid Keeps the SENATE in SESSION on that long recess and that "WE, on the INTERNETS" have managed to finally GET THROUGH to his aides who might be more "computer literate" than Harry is...............

3. If I were a Democrat in Congress I would not okay any of his appointments

from now on. We are better off with those positions setting empty for the rest of his term than let appoint another group of thieves.
