It's good that people are remembering Reagan.
Because, after all, when it came time to be called to account for Iran-Contra, Reagan couldn't remember anything himself.
This is who we have to be campaigning against-- Zombie Ronald Reagan in 2008.
Lawmaker forms group dedicated to ReaganCONCORD, N.H. -- A New Hampshire lawmaker is creating a new Republican organization to promote the ideals of former President Ronald Reagan.
New Hampton Representative Fran Wendelboe says the New Hampshire Reagan Network she's working on will promote socially and fiscally conservative issues. She denies that the new group is a reaction to her two unsuccessful attempts to become chairman of the state Republican Party, saying the two groups are compatible and not in competition.
The state party does not take sides in primaries, so this group will fill a void in trying to educate voters about Republican principles, Wendelboe said. "Many have told me they want to get involved in making sure candidates support the party platform," she said. "I don't have any animosity."
Wendelboe likened the organization to the Conservative Political Victory Fund, a political action committee formed in the 1980s to financially support like-minded candidates.
But Republican State Chairman Fergus Cullen says the state already has an organization dedicated to Ronald Reagan -- it's called the Republican State Committee.
