Video: Reid defends Iraq, ‘liar’ statements.

In a CNN interview today, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) defended calling the war in Iraq “lost.” Watch it at link~

Reid also defended some of his other controversial past statements:

“I do what I think is right, and I think this war is headed in the wrong direction,” Reid said. “And I’m going to speak out as often and as regularly as I can.”

Reid has been an outspoken critic of the president, calling him a loser and a liar in the past.

“I don’t back off that at all,” he said. “So if you say something that is untrue to me and in the right circumstances, I will call you a liar. I have no regret having called him a liar, because he lied.”

:applause: :applause:

1. He did very well with that response! It's still very hard for me to get used
to Harry's MO. He speaks sooo softly, and honestly, it's hard for me to tell if he EVER gets mad. I can't help not being impressed with a Senator who doesn't seem to ever expressw any strong emotion. But, I am getting used to him.

Still, my kind of guy is Jack Murtha! Jack would not only call Shrub a lier, but a DAMN LIER!!!!!

4. If Reid stands his ground, I take all my negative thoughts back ...
However, I fear in the days to come, he'll fold like a cheap suit. I hope and pray I'm wrong, but NOT ONE Democratic Senator has stood firm against the tide ... well save for Lieberman (& IMO, the wrong stance). :eyes:

7. He's not defending, he's reiterating. I think the media wants to
make him look defensive.
