Manchester Union-Leader: Bill Richardson takes to the air in NH
By JOHN DISTASO
Senior Political Reporter
Thursday, Apr. 19, 2007

Manchester – New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson will be the first 2008 Democratic presidential candidate to air television ads in New Hampshire.

Richardson’s campaign has purchased time for 60-second and 30-second spots on WMUR, a campaign consultant has told UnionLeader.com.

The ads, which start Monday, will talk about Richardson’s record, his views on Iraq and “why he’s running,” said the campaign consultant, who asked to remain anonymous.

The ads will also air in first-caucus state Iowa, the consultant said. He said the goal is to introduce Richardson to Granite State and Iowa voters.

1. This Blog has videos of the two ads
Blog4USPresidents

I love that last in the second ad when he said, "I approve this message because being stubborn isn't a foriegn policy".

2. I wanted Richardson until..
Well, I live in Albuquerque. I have had the pleasure of having Richardson for my Governor. The problem is, I don't think he should be POTUS. Not after his support for Gonzales -- he supported him right up until the hearing on Thursday. I think he's basically jumping on the bandwagon in that respect. I think the best, viable Democratic candidate is going to be Edwards. Obama is all style, no substance. (He hasn't come up with any concrete plans for any of the issues yet, and he's also using Republican-esque framing with respect to environmental issues. I just feel that Obama is a gifted orator, able to motivate large crowds of people, but no real plan.

Hillary? Well, she's got oodles of experience and she certainly knows her stuff. I'll vote for her if she gets the Democratic ticket. But right now, my guy is Edwards. Richardson would make an excellent Secretary of State, but we'd lose a great Governor and our state would go back to shit again.
