Edwards Statement on Democrats First Quarter Fundraising

JOHN EDWARDS FOR PRESIDENT DEPUTY CAMPAIGN MANAGER JONATHAN PRINCE STATEMENT ON DEMOCRATS FIRST QUARTER FUNDRAISING

Chapel Hill, North Carolina-- John Edwards for President Deputy Campaign Manager Jonathan Prince made the following statement today about the release of the first quarter fundraising numbers:

"There's an enormous amount of support for Democrats as we've seen with our own fundraising efforts. It's clear that three campaigns are going to have more than enough money to win the nomination and communicate their ideas to voters - and it's those ideas that will ultimately decide the nomination."

7. I Am One Of His BIGGEST Supporters... And I Don't Really Think

he's in very bad shape right now! I'm still doing all I can to help, but could only give him $50.00 recently!

Too bad it takes so much money to run these days. Every time I hear these staggering figures I think of just how much it would help so many others who really need it. Just to get by from pay check to pay check. It's really a shame.

I know it's UN-Constitutional to limit anyone from raising all they can, but it would be so very nice if there could be a cap on how much money candidates can spend. It would be even nicer, since that will never happen, that those who raise over a certain amount would donate the "extra" to help those less fortunate!

8. He's definitely NOT in bad shape :)

The Edwards goal was to meet their budget to keep running another quarter or two :) They exceeded that goal! Good news for Edwards supporters :toast:
