2. Why wouldn't W agree to his aides testifying under oath?
If they aren't guilty, what do they have to fear? Isn't that the argument W and his bushbots used for stripping us of our civil rights?

3. Lovely!
That would not be “partisanship,” as Mr. Bush wants Americans to believe. It would be Congress doing its job by holding the president and his team accountable — a rare thing in the last six years.

6. That, and arrogant, and snotty, and obviously he has something to hide
or else why would anyone testifying under oath be a problem?

"Confidentiality" my ass...just another feeble excuse from the feebleminded in a desperate effort to protect themselves from their own criminality.

Fuckers, all of 'em. Can't wait to see them all in orange jumpsuits and shackles.

9. Excellent editorial! Now if only the NYT addressed their own culpability
In allowing this administration to go unchecked for six years and tens of thousands of deaths.

13. Has the Screw York Times decided to become a newspaper?
It's been 16 years since they mutated into a propaganda organ for the Republic Party. I wonder if they will now stop the rampant PRE$$TITUTION that permeates every page of their so-called "newspaper".

It's time for them to do the "All The News That's Fit To Print" thing instead of "All The Propaganda Karl Tells Us To Print" shit.

11. The pos is not just nasty he is angry as hell.
Did anyone get a look at his ugly mug while he was being "assertive" ? Also notice how nothing is being said about the price of gas. ? I have a feeling he is enjoying the misery of others so much. Or maybe the strain of living in this giant Pottersville of Chimpolini's has finally sent me over the edge.

12. I LOVE watching rats deserting a sinking ship"!! on the other hand, had the NYT been doing its job
these last six years, rather than choosing to serve as a mouthpiece for the liars, thugs, thieves and murderers of this maladministration, perhaps things wouldn't have gone as far as they have.

16. Good article. When I was watching
the Prez earlier today (I guess yesterday now), I was just screaming at him. The deocrats must do this, the democrats must do that, partisan politics, blah, blah, blah...And then I listened to Chris Matthews and I thought my head was gonna explode! He LIKED the tough-talking Prez-the unrestrained drooling really got me. Reminded me of Tweety's reaction to Bush in the flight suit. And the rest of the jerks he had on were all bent out of shape about the Dems, the Dems, the Dems. Why didn't one of these assholes mention that there are some repubs that want Gonzo gone, too?

And someone should tell Herr Bush that the last administration that refused to let his WH people testify was Nixon's. And that is exactly what this reminds me of-Watergate.

17. The problem with the "reality-based" participants in this country
Edited on Wed Mar-21-07 12:39 AM by bleever
is that they keeping insisting Reality is on their side. Even though it is.

(Sarcasm: off!)

But our supposed problem comprehending the nature of reality is rapidly becoming their problem.

After all, they only loaned it to us. Involuntarity. With interest.
