That's all it took to be booted. Ok, my tag was "busherrorinamericanhistory" which if they really were Republicans at least 30% of them would agree with that sentiment.

10. I admit that I lurk over there quite often and have for some time.

That's the only way I can get any sense of understanding why they say and do the things they do. I have noticed over the past year or so, however, is that the general tone has gotten uglier and more hateful in general than it was, say, before the 2004 election. Most of the regular posters that are represented will praise God and quote scripture and prayers in one sentence and in the next they will spew vile comments about anyone and everyone who disagrees with them without being able to back up any of their statements with facts. I think they have gotten down to the truly delusional base.

I did the same thing regarding Phelps on a message board (not FR) - anyway I learned that Phelps is a Democrat and a donor to many Dems, including A. Gore. I just assumed such a POS had to belong to them. I guess every group has its scum.

and I've certainly said things that are not mainline DU.
I've even confessed that I'm not a democrat, I'm a lifelong independent/non-affiliated if you prefer.

So while its likely that people get banned here, I haven't experienced banning without any abuse associated with it. In my mind, thats what happened to me at freerepublic.

when other posters there start ignoring your posts. They will not respond to you, no matter how innocuous your comment or question. That was when I knew they were on to me, and it was just a matter of time. For them, principled dissent is not to be tolerated, because it threatens the hive mentality. This rigid control of ideas and information is what keeps them viable--just as it keeps the Repug party viable. And so, just like bees in a hive, they send out and pick up "chemical messages" about possible intruders, and then they shut you down, before your reason and common sense infects the whole nest.

got to employ heavy use of the words "mullah" and "imam"--use of those words are the mark of a true believer in the Global War On Islam. These people really believe we are fighting WW3 with the little brown dudes, 'cause if we don't then every last one of them is going to come over here and behead us, or at least make us wear a burqa. They can't wait for us to bomb Iran--it's a wet dream for them.
