College student's Op-Ed: "Please come back, Al!"
http://www.collegian.psu.edu/archive/2007/03/03-05-07tdc/03-05-07dops-column-01.asp

"Some people have said that you're doing more good for the country and the world by being in the private sector and doing things like the global warming movie.

But come on, you know the real power to change things is when you're sitting in the White House. And you have to admit, that presidential seal would look good on you.

So please, Al, just give us another chance. We really need you now, and I promise, this time things will be different than 2000.

But, this time, can you just stay away from that Lieberman guy; he kind of creeps us out."

Love that last line

3. Gore Obama 2008
My problems with Senator Lieberman are primarily political.

To say that he "creeps us out" runs the risk of being misinterpreted as anti-semitic.

Since 2002, Al Gore has had major differences with Joe Lieberman on foreign policy.

Plus, Al Gore has always respected the primary process of the Democratic Party.

Running as an independent, against the official Dem nominee, is not in Gore's playbook.

Let's all find ways to show our support for Al Gore! :patriot:

4. Well, I saw "A Mighty Wind" yesterday
and the nutty character (the one played by Eugene Levy) sounded exactly like Joe Lieberman.

Before that, I always thought Lieberman sounded like the Dad in "Alf". I reserve the right to be creeped out by Lieberman regardless of his political position and completely apart from his religion or ethnicity.

If Antonin Scalia gives me the willies, I'm not automatically anti-Italian, am I?
