Dodd in SC this weekend
I had the opportunity to meet Dodd in Rock Hill, SC and listen to him tell his vision of what America should and could be and what a leader should and could be and do. I was really impressed. He talked about getting beyond the 51 - 49 stalemate and partisan bickering and addressing real issues that affect everyone - with all different accents and all different races and income levels. I was really impressed with that - I am so sick of wedge issues, both ours and theirs. Let's deal with real things like healthcare, education, poverty, and plain ol' leadership. Striving for something greater than ourselves. I like the sound of that.

He said that he was both in the army and the Peace Corps. And when asked why he went into the Peace Corps he said "Because someone asked me to." That someone of course being Kennedy. We need to be asking more from ourselves and from our leaders need to do the same. It seems as if we have set the bar so low for ourselves and for electing leaders.

On a personal level I am excited that I am excited about a candidate.

2. Thanks for the update.. we don't talk about him much around here..

Then again.. ..I'm still one who thinks that opinions will change on ALL of our candidates once the debates begin.

Did you take any photos?

4. I like Chris Dodd
I expect he'll exceed expectations when fundraising numbers report at the end of March. He won't get the nomination, but I appreciate and appreciate his voice in the process
