3. Hey! This was my idea!
I sent it to tom a couple weeks ago! Here's what he sent me back!

=====

well as it turned out, this did end up inspiring a cartoon for me,
(which almost never happens from mail, I have to say)...

if you'd like a small shoutout in the signature line of the cartoon, I
need to know (and a name) asap, this goes out tomorow a.m.

at the very least let me send you a print, I appreciate the inspiration

=====

I am going to ask for a signed print!

5. Whoa, good on you!
I have many a nascent idea for some kind of comic or cartoon, but I'm too lazy or modest or something to actually send it to someone with talent. Good for you for sending the idea to Tom Tomorrow, and doubly good for him to acknowledge your inspiration.

7. I was happy to find an outlet for my inspiration

my sense of humor, or sense of irony, matches Tom's, so I decided to run it by him. I was surprised to get a reply, much less a thanks.

8. That's WAY cool. I have a hand-drawn cartoon OF ME by
Sergio Aragones of Mad magazine fame. He was a client years ago where I worked, and had a rambunctious dog, and when I asked for his autograph he took the time to do a, 8 1/2 x 11" cartoon of me and his dog right in front of everybody! He's a VERY sweet and funny guy.

You will treasure your TT cartoon, believe me!
