3. You know. Retire.
Maybe Lautenburg....probably not. It is unlikely anything will come of it, though.

7. Lautenburg may...
..when his term finishes. There should be a Dem lined up for the position.

5. Do you know something we don't know?
I can't imagine why any of them would at this point.

Please expand on your post.

Thanks.

6. do you mean resign?
Or just choose not to run for reelection in '08?

I doubt any will resign - the highest likelihood, of course, is Tim Johnson if his recovery doesn't go well.

8. I wouldn't be surprised to see Lieberman start caucusing with rethugs
but he isn't a democrat, anyway. Other than that possibility, I don't foresee us losing our majority anytime soon.

Do you have information to the contrary?

11. SHUT YOUR MOUTH ABOUT ROBERT BYRD ALREADY!!!
God do you beat a dead horse. As much as you hate the Senator he still has got a few brain cells left to govern properly in the Senate and will eventually die in office.

He may be in his mid 80's but he's still smart as a whip, smarter then you Jerome.

10. No and Yes
No Democrats, but among the Reprobates there may be quite a few. Allard in Colorado has already announced he won't run again, and Warner in Virginia and Dominici in New Mexico may call it quits. Both of these seats would be possible Democratic takeovers, especially NM.
