Joe Conason skewers Vietnam Protest smears on Kerry

Among the interesting points, Conason points out that the photo that newsmax.com put up yesterday showing a blurry Kerry standing a few rows behind Jane Fonda, was taken two years before Fonda went to Vietnam. By the time Fonda went to Vietnam, Kerry was running for Congress and had no connection to her.

Also, the man behind the "Vietnam Veterans Against Kerry" is the same man who once accused John McCain of becoming an agent of thr KGB while he was held POW, and has been turning a profit over his work as a supposed "advocate" of POW-MIAs.

I beleive Kerry wrote an op-ed piece defending John McCain from this nut Sampley. In it, Kerry actually referred to Sampley as a "stupid ass". Too funny. I think Kerry is gonna have all of this countered.
