White House will cooperate with investigations

White House will cooperate with investigations

January 25, 2007

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Bush administration will cooperate with investigations by the new Democratic Congress on issues such as Iraq and the treatment of detainees, but hopes the hearings do not turn into "witch hunts," a top White House official said on Thursday.

Snip...

"Of course, we will cooperate with any investigations that the Congress wants to pursue. We believe in vigorous and legitimate oversight by the Congress," White House chief of staff Joshua Bolten said in an interview on National Public Radio.

Snip...

The White House this month hired prominent Washington lawyer Fred Fielding as White House counsel. Fielding, a veteran of the Nixon and Reagan administrations, succeeded Harriet Miers, a longtime Bush friend from Texas.

Many political analysts saw the hiring of Fielding as a move to help gear up for expected investigations by the Democratic Congress.

7. The victory of the lawyers.

I think I know why Cheney was so ill tempered with Leslie Blitzer the other night.

I mean Wolf is not the driest powder in the bunker on his good days, but Richard, it was unmanly of you
to make the man pee his-self.

I think the high priced lawyers have put the Deep Nixon Ju-Ju Terrah into the Deciderer.
I can see Condi now, and Laura doing a tearful intervention. Honey, you've got to save the ranch!
They won't let you bicycle in jail.

I think there is an active effort by the Empress' household and the palace Eunuch to cut the Dickster loose.
And I think the Italian Shotgun Killer is going to be the Bush administration's sacrificial pinata.

If you think that Cheney will go gentle into that undisclosed location without going after Karl
like Patrick Stewart mobying the great white whale and screaming 'from the heart of hell I stab at thee.'
Keep scanning the papers for White House staffers and Fitz's staffers to spontaneously fly off tall objects.

Unlike Big Dick, Crazy Alberto will have to seek warmer climes with sunny extradition laws. He might have dirt on Holy John, and that might knock a decade off his time.

8. send me to the hospital...
I busted a gut laughing at the headline as it is SO ridiculous.

Funny that they put it out just as Sen. Rockerfeller goes public with the degree to which Sen Roberts was manhandled by Cheney to keep the intel committee of the senate under his thumb and obstruct investigations.
