Very little evidence of Iran involvement in Iraq
Read this enlightening article in the LA Times about how Bush is blaming Iran for a major part of the Iraq mess to deflect criticism for him.

During a recent sweep through a stronghold of Sunni insurgents here, a single Iranian machine gun turned up among dozens of arms caches U.S. troops uncovered. British officials have similarly accused Iran of meddling in Iraqi affairs, but say they have not found Iranian-made weapons in areas they patrol.

1. are you serious?
do you really believe that?

didn't they topple the Iraqi government? didn't they establish one puppet government in Iraq after another? haven't they thrown Iraq into a never-ending civil war? aren't they pushing through an "Oil Law" that will give private oil companies control over more than 3/4 of Iraqi oil for the next thirty years? didn't their embargo and subsequent invasion result in the deaths of more than a half-million Iraqis? didn't they promise to rebuild Iraq after destroying its infrastructure?

oh, wait, that was the US ...

sorry ... never mind ...

4. Just like
there was very little evidence of Osama bin Laden being in/near/affiliated with Iraq. :eyes: Somehow I doubt this bit of knowledge will change Bush's mind, either. (Thanks for posting it, though - very interesting!) :)
