1. Edwards rocked on Leno!
He was relaxed and fielded Leno's questions really well, especially the ones where Leno seemed to be baiting him a bit to say something negative anout Congress. LOL! Edwards was not going to trash our newly Democratically controlled Congress, so went with it by joking around.

2. I'll bet Kerry was real happy when Edwards said it wasn't fun running as VP
and how he could've beaten Bush, had he run as presidential candidate against Bush.

3. You're right, he should have said, "no, I wouldn't have beaten Bush."

5. That's not exactly what he said
Regardless, who wouldn't want to run as their own person at the top of the ticket opposed to running as a VP whose job is to advocate for the presidential candidate? Get real!

What would you prefer? To run to support another candidate or run on your own merits?

6. Fantastic! Thank you for putting to lie that other ignorant pissant thread.
JRE was terrific. Relaxed, confident, humorous - but serious and right on the issues. Give 'em hell Johnny!

17. Heck no
If anything, I gave it an inadvertant boost. It wasn't doing too well at the time.

Seriously, though, in a case like this the mods would delete my post long before they ever considered shutting down your thread. Everyone is appreciative for your thread, including me. However, I'm not going to sit idly by while someone calls me ignorant and pissant from behind my back.

7. Great videos.
Thanks for the links. :) Edwards seems so much more confident and articulate about specific issues this time around...and he is NAILING McCain.

I like the way he's operating right now.

8. I actually liked how he, sort of, dissed Kerry
A 12 year old mentally challenged kid would distance themselves from that Kerry's 04 campaign leadership.

and I'm not sure where or how people think this happened.

Could you give me the minute:seconds or quote where you think Kerry was dissed?

Maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention and I missed something.

23. Your post really offends me
Edited on Fri Jan-12-07 07:04 PM by politicasista
It's fine you like and/or support Edwards, but to describe Kerry's campaign leadership with a "12 year old mentally challenged kid" is very mean spirited and uncalled for. Not to mention Kerry has done a lot of good for children and people with learning and physical disablities, more than you probably have in your whole life.

I am educator and work with regular and special needs kids. For you to make that analogy is an insult to mentally challenged people period.

The next time you want to critique someone or your candidate's campaign, leave mentally challenged people and other insults out of your analysis.

10. We get another chance. But boy, you can tell which camps FEAR him!
It's almost amusing - the attacks are so strained, disingenous - but persistent. Thank God a handful of Internet nags won't decide this race.

14. Hard to forgive Edwards for not attacking Cheney during the vp debate.
That was very painful to watch back in 2004.

19. i think he did attack Cheney
not as much as we all wanted, and desperately hoped for, but the accounts immediately following the debate commented on how he went after Cheney on things like Halliburton, etc.

Cheney has this way of dismissing people that is creepily effective to some. I wish JE had actually commented on that, ie - 'It's easy to just dismiss what I just said, but don't you think that the American people need real answers, not brushing aside of criticism?"

So, he didn't go after him like I wanted, but he did come on stronger than most would have, and did more damage (albeit little) than others have. Cheney's manner is evil and arrogant, but seems to be effective.
