Lieberman Might Jump Ship

"he added that he appreciated the support he had received from Republicans."

5. He's not going anywhere
He knows that in two years the vast majority of senate seats up for re-election are Republican and they will almost certainly lose their majority at that time. That makes any chairmanship he's promised now a two year deal. He IS a snake--no doubt about it--but he knows politics and he'll cover his own ass.

He'll play this and push his weight around a lot and the Dems should tell him to stick it, frankly. They can't be bullied by one turncoat. Should they allow him to hold this over their heads forever?

The Dems in Connecticut kicked him out of the party IMO.

Let him go. It'll be better in the long run. The party shouldn't be stapled to such an extremeist on foreign policy.

It won't change the power in the House.

Bye Joe. Good riddence.
