bush warns "enemies" not to be "joyful"
Even on this happiest of days, he MAKES ME SICK.

Bush warned the nation's enemies not to take heart from the Pentagon change or the election results. "Do not be joyful," he said. "Do not confuse the workings of our democracy with a lack of will."

Addressing "the people of Iraq," he said: "Do not be fearful," adding that "America's going to stand with you."

To U.S. troops, he said, "Don't be doubtful. America will always support you."

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/11/08/AR2006110801180_2.html

A president with any decency would have been humbled by the election results. But bush is still spouting out Rovian talking points by telling America, and the world, that a vote for the Democrats was nothing more than a vote for the ter-rists and a vote against the troops. THE ELECTION IS OVER CHIMPY. IT WAS A REFERENDUM ON YOU. YOU LOST.

Words cannot express how much I HATE HIM. :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr:

3.  "Don't be doubtful. America will always support you." a little late for that, bush.
if you supported them they would have had proper body armor, enough troops to do the job, properly armored hum-vees, and AN EXIT STRATEGY.

7. perhaps pelosi should tell the troops to be joyful, now that people who
care about them are in control.

maybe she should tell osama to start getting nervous.

8. What Other President
in our history continues to slur and flame the opposition just because they were beat. If you recall when President Clinton won over the first bush it all started. The republicans starting their campaign to slur and slam people. What kind of people are they? Just look at Allen and Burns and you can tell.

10. Maybe one of the first things
the blue congress and senate should do is to truely support the troops; restore the cuts made to VA, maybe even give the troops and their families a pay hike and as part of the "draw down" in Iraq let the ones who have been there way too long come home, starting with those who have been there the longest first

Our friends are joyful, our true enemies are probably a little worried that the fun and games might be coming to an end.

13. Is he talking to us?
I know that a couple of days ago, he was basically saying that voting Democratic was tantamount to treason; are his remarks to America's enemies still directed at us, or is that just something else he said to get people off the subject of the elections?

Since it's impossible for Bush to cut and run or flip-flop (we've been so told so many times), is he issuing 60% of the population an ultimatum?

15. What the hell is he talking about?
"Do not be joyful"? "Do not be fearful" or "doubtful"? About what?

If people have anything to fear, it's the Village Idiot sitting on the Oval Office. That man is one seriously delusional loon.
