Why are they not calling Montana?
With nearly 50% reporting, Dem John Tester is handing long-time incumbent Republican Burns a sound whippin' (52 to 45, I think). Where's the kudos to Tester from Leslie Blitzer, et al.?

(I tried to go to bed, but couldn't sleep, so, if I missed any news on this, forgive me)

1. I saw on MSNBC that Tester was kicking some butt, but it's not a
done deal yet.

2. It's not quite sure
The counties that are left are more evenly split and many will likely lean slightly Burns. But I don't think there's enough total votes to give it to him. I haven't done all the math. I don't know why MSNBC hasn't, it wouldn't be that complicated and they do get paid a lot of money for that sort of thing.

3. Montana is a Strange State
Some areas are quite cool. Some are quite uncool. I think that it's tough to call a state that's so disparate from place to place, until the counting is close to over.

5. The gap, unfortunately, is closing.
Tester's lead is now at 4%.
