CNN removed their Independent Senate count from earlier
Earlier tonight, they had 2 Independents listed here http://www.cnn.com/ But they're gone now.

What happened? I thought Bernie Sanders won.

I understand how Indies don't help us gain the committee chairs. But if we wind up even, then if Sanders can be convinced to switch to Dem for the good of the country, we could have the majority.

1. Sanders is blue all the way
Unlike LIEberman, who I wouldn't be surprised if he did a formal switcheroo.

2. Yes, Bernie sure is
I'm just surprised that CNN has removed his win from their web page.

3. actually, indies DO help us win committee chairs
in the case of sanders, at least.

committee chairs are awards based on a vote, just like anything else the senate does. if an independent decides to vote along with the democrats on the committee chair votes, then that helps us.

committee chair votes are the ultimate "party line" votes, but they are done based on the way senators actually vote, not based on party affiliation per se.

the big mystery is where are lieberman's loyalties given that he got more votes and money from republicans than from democrats???

4. Thank you so much...
I thought the Party had to have the majority on its own.
