If fact...he was darn right hostile.

Tweety had to shout him off the air, and Tweety looked like an asshole.

5. It was disgusting. Tweety was acting like some punk thug
would he be shouting down Bush like that about HIS war?

Trying to have Dean tell him the exact number of days it would take to withdrawl and I'm sure he'd like to know
which US war ships would pick them up and what the in-flight meals would be.

Bring back KO!

13. True, but he didn't have to be hostile in his questioning.
I never heard him speak so belligerently to anyone...without a tiny bit of a smile or smirk. One can ask tough questions without being out and out hostile. I wish Keith could have kicked him you know where under the table. He deserved it!

Any journalist should be that tough on politicians. As I said before, of course he won't be that way with Republicans. But he's right, 100 million Americans want to know what the fuck you're going to do if you get majorities.

And I'd be pissed off to, he completly boinked Dean on the Iraq issue when he asked if there should be another U.S. casualty in a war Dean opposed in the first place. Dean skirted the damn thing, and then got all confused. That's Dean's fault for pussy footing, not Matthews.

23. Don't compare the respect that should go to Dean and Malkin.
Please, I hope you don't mean that.

Malkin was even banned from You Tube for being obnoxious. Dean is chairman of the party, a former governor, doctor, and state legislator.

Commentators should treat him with at least the respect they give Carville and nosepicker Begala.

30. That bugs me when reporters (or whoever)
Edited on Tue Nov-07-06 09:46 PM by Beartracks
ask for policy solutions from candidates or their representatives, especially when said person is in the minority Party. WTF - they can't make policy, and moreover they don't need to. As the ones NOT holding the reins of power, it's not their job to make policy. That line of questioning is often only designed to generate headlines and/or provide contrary quotes later on down the road should the candidate or party get in power and the "proposed policy" doesn't in fact happen.

Bear in mind, of course, this is annoying no matter which party is in and which is out...

Then 11:30 on CNN

And about 12:05 with Larry King.

He does look happy, but he should be treated with more respect than he is by the commentators. All of our Democrats should.

33. In every interview these 2 days...Dean said we need to respect other side.
Yet the media is overwhelmingly pushy and rude to him.

http://journals.democraticunderground.com/madfloridian/549

"BLITZER: You know, there's going to be a lot of demoralized Democrats out there. They can taste victory, certainly in the House, almost in the Senate. It's going to be much more difficult in the Senate, as you well know. There's going to be a lot of demoralized, depressed Democrats out there if you don't win.

DEAN: Well, maybe so. But I would hope that that wouldn't happen, because this is a long-term struggle to take back this country so that we can be the great moral leader of the world once again We're going to do things a lot differently than we have in the past, should we prevail, should the voters restore Democrats to power.

The first thing we're going to do is avoid the polarization that the president has used to govern for the last six years. We're going to welcome everybody. We're going to respectfully talk to the people who don't agree with us, because they probably have some good ideas about how to run-America, as well. We're going to respect people's beliefs in their families.

We want to heal America and yes, there will be a lot of partisanship, because the Republicans have basically divided this country bitterly in the last six years.

We need -- if you want to make America work, we've got to be in it together."
