Virginia Senate: Roanoke College poll shows GOP Sen. George Allen leading Democratic challenger Jim Webb, 45 percent to 42 percent, a statistical tie, the Roanoke Times reports.

Missouri Senate: Rasmussen Reports poll shows Democratic challenger Claire McCaskill leading GOP Sen. Jim Talent, 47 percent to 46 percent — a virtual tie.

Nevada Governor: Mason-Dixon poll shows Republican Jim Gibbons leading Democrat Dina Titus, 44 percent to 40 percent, a gap equal to the survey's margin of error, the Las Vegas Review Journal reports.

Iowa Governor: Research 2000 poll shows Democrat Chet Culver leading Republican Jim Nussle, 50 percent to 45 percent, according to KCCI-TV.

Illinois Governor: Mason-Dixon poll shows Democratic Gov.
