A challenge I'm hoping no one can take on .....
.... Here's the challenge:

Cite some event, poll, statistics, rumor, or gossip that shows a Democratic candidate's chances decreasing markedly.

In the last few weeks, we've all become familiar with the top tier races - mostly for Senate seats, and most notably in Tennessee, Virginia, and Missouri, where things seem to shift daily. I'm sure that's the result of the inherent tightness of these races.

But my challenge is not about the high profile races. What *bad* news have you heard or read for other Democratic candidates?

I ask this because .... well ..... I've not heard of *any* bad news about Democratic candidates. Our people - once seen as long shots against entrenched incumbents - have steadily moved from 'challenger' to 'front runner'. And where that's not the fact, they're at least closing gaps to levels any Republic Party member would find frigtening.

3. The only thing negative

I've heard is the puff blowing a*hole repuke running against my district's state senator - Julia Boseman. I was talking to my mother the other night (she's a dyed red republican - can't shake her of it) and she said she didn't know who she was going to vote for - I said that Julia Boseman has received a great rating (Julia Boseman was ranked the 20th most effective senator (of 50), giving her the highest ranking ever for a first-term female senator and the second highest ever for a freshman. http://www.nccppr.org/Effectiveness.pdf) and she's making sure that the public schools in NC are getting their due (about 9 billion) from the state lottery...long story short, my mother said that she had heard (read in the paper) that Julia hasn't accomplished much (since 2005) - I asked her what specifically, and of course, didn't have an answer - then I asked her if it was because she was gay. Bingo, that was part of it. Roseman and her predecessor had mailed out smear campaign ads that she was gay and her agenda would be focused on that. I've just been in disgust over this, bottom line: All Republicans can do at this point (and the for most part - who's kidding) is play on people's fears and prejudices. My mother is a bigot, I love her though.

BTW - scan the daily rag for any negative articles, found zip.

Im optimistic about our chances though. I attended a rally tonight in SE Baltimore County and Ive never seen the Democrats so pumped. We're ready to elect Martin O'Malley, Ben Cardin, Doug Gansler, and Peter Franchot!
