After the right wing loses the election: the squealing will be horrendous
I was talking with my daughter last night. She commented on the totally insane political commercials that the Pukes are running (she lives in Indiana). She said she can't wait til this thing is over.
I thought for a minute and I said that when this is over and they lose the noise will be even louder and more shrill with really insane artificial facts ( Thanks for that line Dave Letterman).
- First off I expect that they will contest everything they can in a desperate attempt to maintain control. There will be countless charges of election stealing and voter fraud in an attempt to keep legitimate winners out of office as long as possible. All this will be stirred up and whipped to frenzy status by the RW talkers and so-called news folks.
- Next I expect there to be all sorts of parliamentry and other "legal" manuevers to stop Dems from taking office
- Next I expect there will be an immediate and unified opposition anything and everything that the Dem majority tries to do. They may be able to pull a few "conservative" Dems to support them which could put the House in a total deadlock.
- All the while the RW talkers will be whipping up the hate to a fever pitch with wild, unfounded accusations unlike anything we have ever heard. I have no idea what that will be but I am sure there old reliables will be represented - abortion, terror, religion and gays.
- And the usual dirty tricks made even more edgy and mean.

Yep, as Newton said every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Winning will bring about a huge uptick in RW insanity. Be prepared.

Or I would, except I feel rather certain they will steal it all again.

4. They've been shrieking for 12 years
Winning Congress in 1994 didn't stop them, installing Stupid into office didn't stop them, controlling all 3 branches didn't stop them. It's high time to give them something to shriek about!

The same goes for the richest 0.5%. They screamed bloody murder when we had a top tax rate of 90%, even though most of them managed to get richer every year. They're still screaming bloody murder now that their taxes are the lowest in a century. It's time to give THEM something to scream about, too!

There's a point at which shrieking becomes counterproductive, as any parent of a two year old knows all too well. I think the right has long passed that point. It's only a matter of (short) time before the idle rich do, too.

7. Democrats be on guard!
The same thing happened in '92 when Clinton won the presidency. There will be no "honeymoon" for the Democratic Congress. The attacks will unrelenting and unending. I hope Speaker-to-be Pelosi and (please!) Senate Majority Leader-to-be Reid are prepared.

8. Phrases like "after the right wing loses the election"
were surprisingly common two years ago.

Our enemy is not the "right wing" but our own complacency.

9. Oh believe me I am not complacent.
But I did not want to say "If". "if" connotes a lack of cofidence. Even as the numbers suggest the Repugs will go down in a flame, they keep talking that they will win. And I talk as though we will win.

11. One thing you might have gotten wrong ...
I wouldn't be surprised if several of the cowardly Republicans began to support Democratic issues. They will be in an "every man for himself" mode.
