Gee, I wonder What John Walsh Thinks Of Mark Foley Now?

If he doesn't condemn his ol pal publicly, that would make Walsh a full blown hypocrite IMHO.

1. I hope some one asked for a comment. Oh but we have the MSM
they might not want to disrupt the Repug anymore than it already has been.

2. His anti child abuse website thanked Foley & felt his leaving was
a great loss. They felt they had lost a good friend.

13. This is a screen capture of the original statement issued by the NCMEC

They issued two more revisions after this one.

See the other screen captures here:

5. Aww, SNAP!!
Makes me wonder if Foley spearheaded all those child protection bills so he could hide behind them while cruising on-line for teenage boys.

8. Probably Because Walsh has yet to denounce him publicly
..and if he doesn't then he isn't doing his job.

3. Huh?
Why should John Walsh make public statements? Or be held accountable for stuff Foley did?

6. Because His main passion has always been to get Pedophiles!!!
If he really practices what he preaches, this case should be posted on his website and he should discuss it. That's why!

9. Be fair -- the initial NPR reporting earlier in the day made it seem
like this was all a very innocent thing being misconstrued. Things didn't start blowing up in their faces until later in the day when the "slow news Friday" thing was supposed to be covering everything up. John Walsh has spent the last twenty years doing one of the most difficult jobs in the country -- dealing with the loss of his beloved child, and doing everything he can to help other parents. Give him a chance to process what has been going on; I'm confident he'll address the issue. This has got to be a shock to him, too. (We're still processing the fact a man my husband grew up with molested his thirteen year old step-daughter, and only spent ten days in jail! We do *NOT* associate with him anymore, but its awkward as hell because his brother, who is one of my husband's best friends, has decided to continue having a relationship with him. Shudder!)

It seems to me that many WANT to go after Walsh because he is a Republican. Well, I wish that he were not, but, I won't impugn is motives or actions for that reason, any more than I will let COulter and the RW do that to Kristen Breitweiser and the other 911 widows because they now support Dems.

Be fair, folks, please. Walsh has a mission that came out of his horrendous tragedy. This mostly broke over the weekend.. WHile we are all hooked into a 24/7 world, in fact most agencies, non-profits, organizations need a chance to respond during a normal M-F cycle. That is likely to happen next week.

10. This will test Walsh's politics, for sure....
John has always been a Republican. It should be interesting to see what happens.
