2. A lifelong racist learns he's actually a jew? Allen needs therapy.
And I'm not joking. The man's mind must be crumbling right now.

3. This was in the newspapers this morning...
It's someone who attended a Carter-Ford election night party that was attended by Allen. The allegation is that he was calling black Redskins players shiftless N*###$@.

1966-70. I was only vaguely aware that he was a politician when I heard he'd been elected governor of Virginia during the 90's. Then, when I heard he was running for the Senate in 2000, I contacted several Virginia reporters and told them what I remembered about Allen's love of the Confederacy and the time he spraypainted racist graffiti on the walls of our school. One reporter called me a liar. Others were polite but skeptical. After all high school was a long time before, and even if I was telling the truth, it wasn't relevant.

I also contacted his opponent, Chuck Robb's campaign staff and told them the story. I even invited them to send a representative to our 30 year reunion to speak with other classmates. They declined, and the issue of Allen's character never came up.

In April of this year Ryan Lizza of the New Republic wrote an exhaustive story about Allen's racism. He interviewed high school and college classmates and got people on the record. Allen even agreed to be interviewed by Lizza, but basically denied everything and said his love for the Confederacy was a product of "youthful rebellion."

It wasn't until Allen himself opened his big mouth and used the word "macaca" that the media finally started to pay attention. Here was a guy they were promoting as a possible GOP frontrunner in 08 taunting a young man with a racial slur. They couldn't ignore it, and they can no longer ignore or dismiss those who are coming forward. Every person I went to high school with knew about Allen's racism. There are posts on Classmates.com dating back to 2001 wondering when it would become common knowledge. Well, that day has arrived - better late than never.

13. Interesting, He literally distanced himself from his past.
And thanks for trying to make people aware once you knew he was foisting himself off as normal.

8. No, that's a different story
In the opening of tweety's show they had an exclusive from a woman in MD who had first hand experience with Felix and the 'N' word.

9. Really! I guess I shouldn't be surprised by this bigot.
There are probably a million stories of his racism in the Naked City.

10. Filix opened the flood gate with his macaca comments.
The Media finally decided to do their job of investigating his past. Man, this guy got a pass for years. He is toast.

15. The woman said Allen used the N-word repeatedly during a rugby match
In the late '70s. She was in the stands and he was speaking so loudly she went down and asked him to cease with the language. Allen blew her off and she went back to the stands, where she asked someone who it was and they told her it was George Allen, the coach's son. The woman was a big Redskins fan and she said she was stunned. Allen was apparently playing in the match and she had plenty of detail, including that he was putting on red boots while using the N-word.

The women was very credible and I'm certain other media will pick this up. She is a Democrat who moved to Connecticut not long after the '70s incident and said she really didn't know what was going on in Virginia politics early in Allen's career, but she came forward after macaca and Allen lying about never saying the N-word.
