Since we can't get chickenhawks to enlist in the Army
Maybe we can encourage them to undergo the sort of "interrogation" that bush and his kind advocate for "detainees" to convince us candyassed liberals that there really isn't much to it at all.

After all why would "christians" advocate simulated drowning, forced standing in shackles, constant loud noise, death threats and nakedness if it would possibly harm a human life they love so much?

Surely to God, any manly man at free republic would volunteer to undergo such treatment for 30 days to prove how wrong we are. Hell, limbaugh could do his show while undergoing such treatment; for we all know what kind of man he is.

Then we would all be convinced that when our Soldiers get captured in the future, and no doubt they will, they will receive the treatment that the benevolent republican party advocates, ergo they will be in good hands.

Or am I just being a little naive here? After all they have chosen not to join the Army because they just got too much to do within their little "conservative" Klaverns.

3. Imagine
a mere two weeks of funds diverted from Iraq.

But why the fuck care about veterans, he'll we'll get killed in a car wreck and most likely fake our injuries and most of us still alive volunteered. We all knew what we were getting into.

Government does not work. Put republicans in charge and they will prove it.

4. I find it hard to comprehend that BushCo doesn't realize that . . .
whatever "unusual" interrogation techniques they use will most certainly be used on US troops who may be captured or detained . . .

their desire to "reinterpret" the Geneva Conventions is a DIRECT threat to our own military personnel . . . it's the most irresponsible government act since the end of WWII, at least . . .

5. Arrogance and ignorance all mixed together
bush and his "christian" supporters do not care about the welfare of our troops. To do so would be a display of compassion and oh my an admission that the sonofabitch is wrong on this issue, as well as the rest of those they are too proud to admit. If our kids get tortured, no sweat to chickenhawks, they are volunteers after all.

8. Perhaps that's the answer
There should not be a vote on the torture bill until each of the techniques is demonstrated on the floor of Congress, then a voice vote of Congressmen after each one: who is confortable with letting our guys do this, and letting others do this to our guys?

9. ask for volunteers for the demonstration!
and only allow Congrescritters and Senators to volunteer...no staffers. Perhaps a little "waterboarding" might get their attention...

Care to start a list of those who should be "volunteered" for the torture demo on the floor of Congress?

Hmmm... Frist, Hastert, Santorum....
