1. The ony way I couold wear

one of those in the UK would be if it had "Blair is complete ****" in large letters across the back.

Can't put in the missing word as I'd get chucked off DU instantly.

2. A colorful metaphor?

Next time I need an old VHS PAL tape converted to NTSC, can you do it? DVD I can handle myself. :-)

3. Well it certainly wasn't

aunt as in the old crossword puzzle joke - appertaining to a woman last 3 letters unt.

Unfortunately I can't help with the tape. I can't deliberately copy to NTSC even using two recorders which I've got. Would just land up PAL PAL. Not sure how much you know signal composition etc. All of our stuff in the UK plays NTSC stuff as well as PAL by synthesising it to PAL.
