Questions you would like to see asked on Sunday am news shows
I think most of these could be asked to any administration talking head by any of the so-called pundits.

1. If liquids have been a threat since the nineties, why the jump through our collective a******s response to this particular terror
plot? The President now says the liquid ban is "temporary"? Was it an over-reaction in the first place?
1.a. You DID know about that former terror plot, right? I mean you could imagine that liquids could be used to blow up planes?
We've also heard that solids and gasses could be threats - how will you control the containment of all liquids, solids and
gasses in future air travel?

2. Why do you guys like the word "robust" so much? Who decided it was a cool word? Was it in the President's vocabulary list this
week?

3. Do you think describing someone as the Al Qaida candidate goes a little beyond the pale?

4. We applaud the British for their great policework and uncovering the terrorists this week. How about an update on how our own
investigative work is going on the anthrax terrorist who actually killed people? When do you expect an arrest in that case?

What would you like to see asked?

1. Do you believe those against the Vietnam War were cut-and-run defeatists?
You know they do, but it would be nice if someone forced Rumsfeld or Cheney to say so.

3. hope this is not off subject
But I would like to know what ever happened to the Able Danger investigation, since we now
know that the 9-11 commission felt the Pentagon was not being totally honest in its testimony,
so much so that they requested a whitewash (er, investigation) by the Defense Department.

5. WTF?
Would be a good start...

How about:
Why is the ME plunging into the abyss? Weren't they s'posed to be a shining example of the power of American Democracy by now?
Exactly how has the Iraq War made us "safer" at home?
Why was the Admin trying to cut spending on explosive detection technology? What was their idea of where the money should go instead?

8. Cutting of spending on explosive detection technology is a great ? to ask.
That would be a hard one to explain. Also, when are they going to take screening cargo seriously and when are they going to start inspecting ALL containers in the ports for radiation?

6. How come the Middle East just seems worse now than under Clinton?
How much of the investigation was actually done by the United States and how much was done by the British?

Could any of our part of the investigation (assuming we played any part) have not been accomplished under FISA law with court-ordered warrants?
