The Gathering Storm
From Charlie Cook's forthcoming National Journal column:

"Time is running out for Republicans. Unless something dramatic happens before Election Day, Democrats will take control of the House. And the chances that they’ll seize the Senate are rising toward 50-50.

"The electoral hurricane bearing down on the GOP looks likely to be a Category 4 or 5, strong enough to destroy at least one of the party’s majorities. The political climate feels much as it did before previous elections that produced sizable upheavals, such as in 1994, when Democrats lost 52 House seats, eight Senate seats, and control of both chambers."

Unless something dramatic happens....

5. Good to hear---
Now let's not count our chickens before they're hatched yet. We've only got a few more months to bust our asses to close the deal but victory will be ever so sweet when we do. K and R'ed!

6. I honestly don't think the pukes will turn over the House or Senate
They have far too much to lose. If the dems were to start investigating their criminal activities, the pukes would be facing impeachment and long prison sentences. No doubt they are working the shredders overtime to attempt to cover their asses, but there will still be enough evidence to put them all away for a long time.

If they can't manage to steal another election with their voting machine hoax, my guess is martial law will be imposed, based on allegations of election fraud by democrats, with the help of their Al Queda terrorist buddies.

These guys are true fascists. They have shown no regard whatsoever for our election process or our constitution.

7. Excellent news
Anybody notice that as the Republicans fortunes wane, the number of "Democraps are corporate whores" and "I'm never giving a dime" and "Democrats have to adopt this or that crackpot position" and "We have to get rid of this or that Democrat" threads increase?

in a nice polite manner. You don't want to elaborate when confronted. You simply want to flame. I don't question your Dem credentials, but your acid, hateful directed rhetoric at any one who confronts you is often enough a page right out of Freeperville.

"You don't want elaborate when confronted."
I don't see any fucking reason to. You wouldn't have jumped in unless you knew what I was referring to in the first place. And we both know that.

Nor was what I said obscure in any way.

If you're going to hijack the thread with your complete antagonism to most of DU you might as well hijack it all the way.

"complete antagonism to most of DU"
Funny, it's only three boboes bitching--and they're bitching because somebody correctly descirbed their attempts to derail a possible Democratic victory.

27. I don't know where you get that
We have a much better chance to take the House than the senate. The House is considered 50/50 while the senate is in the 20/80 range. IMO, that's still too high for the senate. A national tide can push us over the top in the House but the senate requires knocking out many incumbents, plus an open seat in the South. We haven't exactly been dominating the open seats in the South, as evidenced by Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Lousiana and South Carolina in 2004.
