Last summer when Cindy Sheehan did her tour there was a group of 'Young Republicans' with their Support the War signs. My friend and I went over to them and just asked them why they were there, why weren't they in Iraq serving their country if they believed in this war. They were totally speechless, they stammered, they said things like they were in college, they needed to work and most just looked like they wanted to disappear into the cement. The chickenhawk brigade, good with signs and yelling their slogans but let someone else, some poor kid do the real action on the front lines. Being a chickenhawk must be part of the Republican genetic structure.

I recall Robert F. Kennedy , Jr came to talk about environmental issues at a non-partisan conference in Sarasota, Fla when we lived there. They taunted him over his fathers' alleged infidelities at the hotel. A group of freepers there awaiting to greet him. Why. He is not his father. He must have been in his twenties, within ten years of his fathers assignation.
These peoples behavior makes me think there should be some kind of punishment for being cruel and tasteless. Ann Coulter types are not new to this country.
I also recall when we wanted to see Michael Moore's film Fahrenheit 911. A bunch of freepers showed up at the marquis, taunting those who were purchasing tickets. Being private property the management a little too late asked them to take their show elsewhere. BUt, first we had a nasty shouting match. They questioned our patriotism just for seeing a movie. Told them to go to hell.

16. I like the "something silver...."

Along with the enlistment forms everyone should carry a silver cross.....it can be of metal, wood, cardboard, etc., sprayed silver. It should be small enough for all protesters to carry in their pockets, purses, packpacks but big enough to be picked up in media photo's. When harrassed by the CON counterprotesters, simply be silent, look in the opposite direction as though fearful and flash the silver cross in the face or direction of the CON's. The more dramatic the show of fear or repugnance the better. Simplicity in itself ....... no need to scream or scramble to get a few seconds of media attention to get your point out.
