What is the point?
Please pardon my building outrage and slow build to it.

Slash dot pointed me to an article, Man charged after videotaping police, I read the article and was of course outraged. http://www.nashuatelegraph.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060629/NEWS01/106290121
Public officials should not have the protections of privacy while acting with authority. These police need to be reined in strongly. But while this outrages me, it is not the point here.

I immediately go to democratic underground to share this atrocity. I scan through the latest news to see if it is posted. I start to do a quick search for articles with similar words, when the impact of the quick scans of news hits me.

Suddenly I remember the posts during the Katrina Horrors. Where news outlets were posting tales of atrocities being made by people trying to survive while no mention of the atrocities actively pursued by authorities and mercenaries placed there by authorities. No mention of the aid that was prevented from reaching victims. While the news lied and went on about the violence and disorder in the dome, authorities did everything in their power to try and cause the disorder that the news was printing.

Suddenly I remember the posts during the election when we were waiting for the teams of lawyers to take action in Ohio.

Suddenly I remember all of the times the Republicans have raised a flag accusing Democrats and Liberals of planning some evil. Usually just before doing it themselves.

But when I look the responses of a post, I just don't feel the build up of comprehension here.

This my friends is Democratic Underground. This my friends is where politics gets peer review. If you post a lie or assumptions or misstatement, no matter who you are, you are going to get jumped and dragged down. In all of this we have truth after truth pointing to the insane and hyperactive war of thievery being waged by REPUBLICANS. Very few of these REPUBLICANS ever denounce the lies, thievery, or insanity of the rest. The REPUBLICANS are almost entirely complicit. You can tell the few Republicans who are not. They are being swift boated. The rest of them, from their perch on Capitol Hill should know what is going on much better than I do. These are the folk on the hill that have seen, heard and participated in deceit, thievery, and in many cases decisions that have caused the deaths of many for the profit of a few.

We know the elections were stolen illegally. The leadership of this nation is currently a set of invaders that illegally took over our nation and has through action and inaction caused poverty, death, destruction, debt and injustice.

Yet there are those who wonder what we need to do to win an election. Yet there are those who want our leaders to be more like the REPUBLICANS.

What is the point? Here is a clue, for a moment forget your particular outrage. Look at all of the outrages. Remember the crimes that have come forward one after another.

We are being terrorized. We are being driven to a civil war. We are occupied by a hostile force, not of our desiring or choice. We are the victims of a plot to replace our government with one that is more compliant with multinational corporate desires. We are loosing our resources without getting any compensation. We are being impoverished. We are loosing science and civilization. We are being taken over by militant religious factions. We are the third world. Electricity is becoming less reliable. Water is becoming less reliable, Justice is becoming less reliable. Everything we have stood back and allowed or ignored, in other countries, when we still had a democracy, is being done here now.

Our CIA knows the truth and they have not saved us. Our FBI knows the truth and they have not saved us. Homeland Defense knows the truth and they have not saved us. The Secret Service knows the truth and they have not saved us. The US army so strongly knows the truth, and they ain't helping one bit. Sadly nowadays even the crazies in the hills know the truth, apart from thinking liberals are the ones that they should fear. Don't waste your time thinking they are going to save us.

What is the point?

1. $70. a barrel oil is the point.
George COULD have stopped this, but he didn't, because he's literally addicted to an idea, a very common addiction. George and Karl aren't really a lot worse than many, many people, who don't accept the responsibility to do whatever they can.

PNAC and those who financed it caused this and the rest of us just went along.
