What's with the little kids at Bush's veto press conference?
Can anyone answer this question, I'm watching the replay of the press conference chimpy made regarding his veto on stem cell research and I look all the room and I see most of the people have there little kids with them in there arms?

Why the fuck am I seeing them there, political stunt on "protecting life"?

8. Hey Dubya-What about the 500,000 "icebox orphans"?
Who is going to thaw out these 500,000 "microscopic Americans"? Great article in the current Mother Jones about the glut of frozen embryos: http://www.motherjones.com/news/feature/2006/07/souls_on_ice.html?welcome=true

2. That's exactly what you are seeing
The entire event was a dog and pony show to turn out the religious wrong for the midterm elections. The babies were supposedly all snowflake babies and they were put there so that people watching the event would think of embryos as babies.

16. It depends on your definition of worked
3/4ths of the country still supports stem cell research regardless of the show that shrub put on at the veto ceremony. But you never know if the GOP might've picked up a few thousand voters in a key district or two because of it, or at the very least they might consider the other side of the argument.

5. Karl Rove wants you t o think of healthy, happy children but
from now on when I look at my son struggling to live in his wheelchair I will think of the abomination that robbed him of hope with the stroke of a pen. No other president in our history would have taken this cruel, cynical action. Only the classless idiot we watched embarrassing the nation just two days ago would have seen a vote for furthering science as a challenge to his manhood. I dared to ask myself what more damage this fool can do. I only know that if he is not removed from office he will soon show us. It's time. The bell rang today.

6. Of course, Bush has no problem with...
...dropping bombs that kill pregnant Iraqi women. That's because our beloved president respects the sanctity of life.

7. Do you see any minority kids?
I know they call them "Snowflakes" because they were once frozen embryos but, from the photos I've seen, it is also somewhat descriptive of the kids themselves.

13. King George was exploiting the so-called "snowflake" children.
Adopted as embryos, they were the handful of "snowflakes" that didn't go into the medical waste receptacle for destruction. Somehow that's supposed to make us feel good about the idiot's veto.

17. Decorating with people
The fuhrer has been decorating with people for some time.
Uncle Joe Stalin used to do that, though Bush Junior only has to fill the small screen instead of Red Square.
He's hiding behind the babies.
If the cur has a baby in front of him he's not going to get pelted with vegetables or showered with profanity.
He may be trying a little transference of the baby's positive appeal to himself.
Incidentally, one of the things that makes this guy sooo creepy is that his body language doesn't match his voice track. Watch for it!
