Why are the administration's poll numbers so low? Ask Dick Cheney. He chose to emulate the president who achieved the lowest poll numbers of modern times. When you aim for the worst, you can be pretty sure you will make and even exceed your goal.

W.'s handlers brought Dick on board to reassure the GOP that the Village Idiot would have someone with experience at his side. The trouble was, that Dick had the wrong kind of experience. He had experienced Dick Nixon's administration, and he wanted more. More wiretaps, more domestic spying, more power graps, more confrontations with the press and Congress. We have learned that Dick approached ATT BEFORE 9-11 about spying on the American people. He could not wait to follow in his name sake's shoes. He held secret meetings with energy bosses back when there was no Article II justification for secrets. He is mastermind behind the Plame Affair. Karl Rove spent a year in legal jeopardy, suffering so much anxiety and depression that he botched Katrina, sending W.'s polls spiraling, as a direct result of Cheney's stupid little vendetta against a former ambassador whose only claim to fame will be that Cheney concocted a conspiracy to get him. Shades of Daniel Elsberg's psychiatrist!

Dick Cheney has a foul mouth and a worse temper. He openly embezzles from the US government via his company Halliburton, in which he still owns stock. He looks and acts like a mafia don, and for all practical purposes, he IS the president. His ratings are currently down in the teens, which is why W.'s are down in the thirties. If W. were to fire him today, his ratings would sore to the 40's tomorrow, however he can't get rid of this 200 plus pound albatross, because the right wing base loves Dick, and the fall election is just around the corner.
