Atlanta's Star94 Grows a Set - Adds New Dixie Chicks Song
With a pre-recorded statement from WSTR's program director, Dan Bowen, explaining his reasons why, Star94 added the new Dixie Chicks song today.

1. What did he say in the statement?
I'll have to listen while running errands today.

The Neil Boortz crowd here will not be pleased. Fuck 'em.

2. along these lines:
It's the single from the #1 album in the country. It has sold more than 1 million copies. Yet not a single radio station in Atlanta is playing it. Until now.

4. Well goddamn. I am freaking amazed. Good for that guy.
Atlanta radio is a wasteland of shrill right wing idiots, religous programming and numerous country music stations playing crappy, jingoistic music. There is lots of classic rock, oldies, hip-hop, urban and a few stations playing "alternative" or non-pop rock.

Star94 plays new pop, top 40 music which is OK but their perky morning hosts are almost unbearable.

Air Atlanta is gone. All I can lsiten to when I'm there is the Georiga State Univeristy student station, a local NPR station and sports talk radio (I like Colin Cowherd and KO on ESPN sports radio. They mix in politics with the sports at times!)
