Cuomo widens lead over Green for AG: poll (New York)
Former federal Housing Secretary Andrew Cuomo has widened his lead over the city's former public advocate, Mark Green, in the race for state attorney general, according to a poll released Thursday.

Mr. Cuomo now leads Mr. Green 45% to 27% among New York Democrats, according to the latest Quinnipiac University poll, compared with a 34%-to-26% lead in a May 18 poll.

Either Democratic candidate would fare well against the Republican candidate, former Westchester District Attorney Jeanine Pirro, in a general election matchup, based on the poll results. Mr. Cuomo would beat the former DA by 51% to 31%, while Mr. Green would win by 46% to 32%.

1. Pirro's running?
Mind you, I don't live in New York, but I watch some of the news programs from there, and from what I hear from her statements, not to mention her bang-up campaign against Sen. Clinton, I imagine she had to rig voting booths to be elected dog catcher.

2. Jeanne Pirro is the Katherine Harris of New York
At one time such a promising future, but her husbands possible mafia connections, the tax evasion issue and incarceration, the pet pigs, then stopping a press conference when announcing her intention to run against Hilary Clinton because she lost page 7 or 24 of her statement - all so sordid and amateurish.

Anyway, Mark Green was not chosen by the NY Democratic Party. Andrew Cuomo was and he has a lot of support.
