Could Indiana become a swing state in the congressional race?
Could this red state actually turn blue this fall..With declining numbers for Gov. Daniels and Pres. Bush, IN could become a swing state for control of the house.
There may be a possiblity that even the 4th district could be painted blue.......

1. CD-8
I read where Brad Ellsworth is polling well against John Hostettler.

2. Yes thats correct and
the 9th district is leaning toward Hill. Since IN is not a key state in the 50 state strategy there is very little polling done except by independent pollsters.

3. Indiana is full of * supporters
The county I live in which borders on Marion co. is all red. Mostly business owners and retire execs.

Hill won once before and the 9th district race was won by less than 1500 votes last time...Sure we are a red state but remember we had a Democratic Governor for 16 years

Let me just add this..I got this map(original post) from a web site of independent pollsters showing possiblities, since there are several close congressional races..I think one would have to agree Indiana looks pretty good in blue....

7. Marion County, where Indianapolis is located, is very blue
and Kerry won Marion County by a comfortable margin.

4. My daughter lives in all red, all the time.
But they all adore Evan Bayh. Maybe that's a start. I think he's decent and smart and perhaps he's the reason that we are seeing some of this cross over.

9. Evan Bayh
I know Bayh has been popular in IN but he has been a Bush supporter until he finally caught on that people were turning against Bush now he's voting more with the Dems. I would not like to see him on the ticket for Pres. or VP

11. Thanks for the clarification.
The few times I have heard him talk on CSpan, etc., he sounded very bright and articulate. The things he said didn't sound at all like the policies that have come out of this administration. And he has an appealing charisma, so I was thinking that he might have a bright future. But I sure don't want someone who is just a pub in dem clothing, so I bow to your wisdom! :)

8. Well if District 4 goes Blue the winner will be 'none filed'
won't it?

Too bad no one that I have heard of is even running against Lugar for the Senate.
