help!! did someone capture the WaPo article on "sex drives you insane"
the article on *'s idiot domestic policy advisor, zinmeister? I just tried to access the entire article and a message came up that it had been removed--as church lady would say, "how conveeeeeeeeenient"

4639.1

(for those of you who are not familiar with this obviously disturbed person, he is the chimperor's chief domestic policy advisor, karl zinmeister)

Bush aide: Sex drives people insane, "needs to be governed"
And he traces the family breakdown, at least in part, to one of his favorite topics: Sex. (Also see his April 2006 article on the topic.)

About sex, he tells Wattenberg: "It's something -- it's intense; it's fire. It drives people to insanity. . . . People fall in love with prostitutes. People kill prostitutes. All kinds of things happen in the heat of sexual passion, so my point is because it's fire it needs to be governed and treated with respect and treated carefully."

And, he says: "An awful lot of what we've been talking about earlier in this show, you know, family structure and crime rates and poverty levels grow directly out of sexual choices."

3. One has to feel sorry for such people who are so sexually neurotic.
That can't seem to think about anything but sex. I think they feel somehow evil because they have a vagina or a penis. However, there is a solution. Jesus says, I think it is Mark, that for those who can understand, they should castrate themselves to truly live the faithful life.

9. Think Tank transcript and Zinsmesiter article that elaborates.
You can find the complete trascript of the Wattenberg interview with his "buddy" Zinsmeister here.

http://www.pbs.org/thinktank/transcript1232.html

Apparently Zinsmeister was Wattenberg's first research assistant. He addresses him as "buddy" and "old friend."

Zinsmeister elaborates on this topic in an AEI essay.

A Very Private Public Affair
http://www.taemag.com/issues/articleid.19040/article_detail.asp
by Karl Zinsmeister

The conclusion of this article is stunning. He claims that African Americans were better off under segregation than they were after the "sexual revolution" and the Great Society. i.e., "Black promiscuity" is at the core of racial inequality in this country.

Brilliant ... and this guy is Bush's chief domestic policy adviser.

.rog.

Excerpt from A Very Private Public Affair:

... a toxic combination of bad public policies and poor choices centered on sexuality and family life sent a significant portion of black families “to hell” starting around the mid 1960s. Steele concludes that these same factors actually braked black progress to the point where blacks have advanced less since the Sexual Revolution and Great Society than in the segregated era that came before.

It’s said that ideas have consequences. Well, bad ideas have bad consequences. And this is as true when the bad ideas pertain to “personal choices” and “private behavior” as anywhere else.

When America catches a cold, goes the old saw, black America gets pneumonia. That certainly applies to the virus of the Sexual Revolution. As the numbers on page 24 indicate, blacks bought into the casual sex crusade with even fewer reservations than whites. From adultery, to teenage experience, to premarital sexuality, to homosexual relations, to the number of lifetime partners, black Americans are roughly twice as likely as whites to wander from traditional sexual norms. And this has hurt them badly.

Today, only 39 percent of black children are growing up in two-parent families. One hundred years ago, despite economic and political privation, twice as many black families were intact. Those are the wages of sexual liberation. The secondary effects include a welfare explosion, crime, wrecked cities and public schools, violence and abuse, and endless human misery. Most of the victims are innocent third parties who don’t see the fun in a casual approach to sexuality.

10. this man is clearly delusional, and needs to be committed. what a loaf
of total and complete BS. the prostitute comment reminds one of jack the ripper. I do think the police should be checking his movements for the last 40 years and match them up with prostitute killings.

11. Reminds me so much of 1984...
In our world there will be no emotions except fear, rage, triumph, and self-abasement. Everything else we shall destroy everything. Already we are breaking down the habits of thought which have survived from before the Revolution. We have cut the links between child and parent, and between man and man, and between man and woman. No one dares trust a wife or a child or a friend any longer. But in the future there will be no wives and no friends. Children will be taken from their mothers at birth, as one takes eggs from a hen. The sex instinct will be eradicated. Procreation will be an annual formality like the renewal of a ration card. We shall abolish the orgasm. Our neurologists are at work upon it now. There will be no loyalty, except loyalty towards the Party. There will be no love, except the love of Big Brother. There will be no laughter, except the laugh of triumph over a defeated enemy. There will be no art, no literature, no science. When we are omnipotent we shall have no more need of science. There will be no distinction between beauty and ugliness. There will be no curiosity, no enjoyment of the process of life. All competing pleasures will be destroyed. But always -- do not forget this, Winston -- always there will be the intoxication of power, constantly increasing and constantly growing subtler. Always, at every moment, there will be the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless. If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face forever.

Personally, I was even more offended by the quote he changed for publication. He edited his quote to read: "I learned in Washington that there is an 'overclass' in this country stocked with cheating, shifty human beings that's just as morally repugnant as our 'underclass.' " So the poor are morally repugnant, and in certain special cases the rich can be that way too? Just not that often, because in his Calvinist worldview, the rich are inherently superior.
