Glenn Beck: "Why did God put all of the oil under dirtbag countries?"
Just overheard on Glenn Beck's show:
"Why did God put all of the oil under dirtbag countries?"
This, of course, wouldn't be the first time Beck has used the word "dirtbag". Hell, he did it twice in two weeks earlier this year. First when, speaking about why "somebody comes across the border in the middle of the night", he said, "Really, three reasons: One, they're terrorists; two, they're escaping the law; or three, they're hungry. They can't make a living in their own dirtbag country." Then, in early May, when he said, "We gotta get outta bed with these dirtbags in Saudi Arabia."

13. I thought the whole purpose behind Headline News
Was for people who wanted to see all the news happenings in a 30 minute time period.

Beck serves no purpose other than to prove to the public all you care about is catering to a hateful group in society.

I miss Turner's CNN network

3. Why did God...
...put most of the bigoted wingnut halfwits here? Just one of life's eternal mysteries, I guess.

4. Did he say that on CNN or some RW show? Wait a minute...
there is not much difference, is there?

Seriously, did he say that on CNN?

That oughta play really well overseas.

7. The lowest common denominator just went thru the floor.
I would love to see CNN defend this.

19. I don't think we get him on CNN International,
but you're still right. We may not see or hear Beck, but word does get around outside the US for those who care to pay attention, thanks to the blogosphere.

What I see on CNN every day is completely different to what I read about at DU. I am not complaining about this. CNN International is still a legitimate news organization.

14. Why is the ad on AAR - I'll tell you why
For awhile, "The Nation" magazine had a full page ad for Fox News running in their weekly magazine. Here's one of the most liberal publications with an ad for one of the most conservative channels out there.

Finally "The Nation" replied to all the complaints from readers asking about why the ad was allowed. In a nutshell - freedom of speech and the fact taht it's free money coming from a group they know their patrons would never support.

which presumably makes the United States a dirtbag country?

12. Why does Glen Beck hate Texas?
These replicon propagandists show time after time that they hate America.

Why do CONS hate America?

15. Curious question about Beck
is he a Christian? I don't know much about him, but I worked with a guy who listened to him on the internet daily a while back (this was before his TV show). I hardly think calling people dirtbags is Christian.

18. Well, if you're gonna steal a punchline...
...steal from the best.

Ari Fleischer: "The American way of life is a blessed way of life..."
Jon Stewart: "Really? Then how come God put all our oil under countries that hate us?"
