Nevada Democrats slam President Bush during convention

LAS VEGAS - Gearing up for midterm elections, Nevada Democrats lashed out the Bush administration last week, accusing it and "yes men in Congress" of incompetence and corruption.
State Senator Dina Titus, a Las Vegas Democrat and gubernatorial candidate, set the state convention theme when she listed a series of grievances against the administration and then asked the question: "Have you had enough?"
The boisterous crowd of about 400 party faithful answered, "Yes."

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid took credit for successfully blocking parts of the administration's domestic agenda, including the president's social security reform plan. He repeated his criticism of the "Republican culture of corruption" in Washington.
In his keynote speech, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa warned Democrats not to focus narrowly on corruption scandals, but to find a way to drive home the "consequences of corruption" to voters.
