2. "other"
I think Edwards is, and has been, positioning himself for the VP spot.

And yes, before anyone answers, I did hear what he said about that; I am from NC, and if the man chips a nail, we hear about it.

6. Positioning for VP?? At times, maybe.
But I suspect at other times, such as tonight, he sees himself going all the way. And it still could happen; he is ahead of where Clinton was at this point (9 primaries) in 1992.

My question still is, how committed is the Dem establishment to Kerry?

3. For all of Dean's support here at DU
It doesn't translate into votes out there.

4. Other.
I really hope Clark can pull more support in the coming months, he's my fav of the current triumverate of likely candidates (Kerry, Edwards, Clark). Dean is done, though, I think. It's a money thing.

7. Sure, Edwards is the one
who can legitimately challenge Kerry for the nomination now, because he is the only one aside from Kerry who has actually won a primary state. Maybe TWO!

I really look forward to that debate - between the two of them.
