14. Normally he drops a few points.
I expect he'll drop more than usual this time, because there are at least 5 major scandals breaking this week.

4. Everyone should laugh at him.
Especially since he eliminated funding for nearly 10,000 border patrol agents last year.

3. In keeping with past experience, his numbers always ...
... go down whenever he opens his mouth.

Besides, the Repubs are very fractured on the Immigration issue. So no matter WHAT he says, some portion of the 'faithful' is going to be pissed-off.

I think they should give him a nightly news show for the next twenty-nine days - that will bring his favourability rating down to zero.

8. A couple of points.
The ultra-right wing will think he isn't going far enough.

Small-business owners will be livid about Bush pandering to tawdry nationalism at the expense of their steady stream of cheap labor.

And nearly everyone else isn't going to be fooled, especially since even Bush HIMSELF doesn't know where he stands on the subject.

Flip-flop, indeed.

10. James Carville was on CNN about an hour ago
and he said that there would be something seriously wrong if it didn't get a 3-4 point bounce in the polls.

12. * is going DOWN! Most will be waiting til 8:20 for their delayed
programs to begin. They will be impatient and angry for twenty minutes. If he goes longer they will be red hot, swearing and calling the networks.

Bad timing to interrupt the public over something that is down on their lists of things * should be talking about like gas prices and his invasion and deficit spending increasing the debt.

* can forget about it. He cannot recover.

15. 5%
i think that blatant pandering to xenophobia, isolationism & nationalism will get that amount of approval.

the bill will go on the deficit, but who cares? that's for democrats to fix up with tax increases at some future date, which will enable the GOP to run against taxes, take power, lower taxes for political gain, & run up the deficit.

repeat ad infinitum.
