Bush Lied and a Fish died... Bill Maher during his season finale mentioned on several occasions that George Bush lied about the size of a fish he caught, in fact Bush told the German Press that his "Greatest" moment as president was catching a 7.5lb perch (out of his man made lake on his ranch) However Maher was quick to point out that the largest perch on record was only 4.3lbs.

So Bush lied.. about a fish.

Maher wants Bush impeached for this exact reason

2. To be fair to Bush....

Was it a Nile Perch? If so a 12 pounder was caught in Texas. Just trying to keep the record straight. The fact that this is his shining moment is still pathetic; joking or not. I wonder how funny it is to the 2,400 or so dead soldiers' families?

8. It was a "Barsch."

Usually a perch. But in a lake it's (apparently) usually a bass; Das Bild had the quote as him having caught the "Barsch" in his "See"--lake.

The interview was in English, and the "Barsch" quote translated into German. I haven't heard that Das Bild has released the transcript in English; the WH shows it as 'bass'. Plausibly a case of "Traduttore tradittore," in the less traditional use of the phrase.

The picture showed a bass.
