SIXTY MILLION potential terrorists in the US?
300 million population in the US--that's ONE IN FIVE people.

That's what the misAdministration is aching for you to believe, it seems.

The Constitutionality and legality of this is troubling enough, but the sheer magnitude concerns me as well.

Someone you know very well is suspect enough that we have to ignore the FISA and potentially tap into their private conversations? Even the ones they are having with you?

Am I understanding this correctly? I don't claim to be a math whiz at all, but this does seem rather simple.

Here's the USA Today article and a snip:

The National Security Agency has been secretly collecting the phone call records of tens of millions of Americans, using data provided by AT&T, Verizon and BellSouth, people with direct knowledge of the arrangement told USA TODAY.

The NSA program reaches into homes and businesses across the nation by amassing information about the calls of ordinary Americans — most of whom aren't suspected of any crime. This program does not involve the NSA listening to or recording conversations. But the spy agency is using the data to analyze calling patterns in an effort to detect terrorist activity, sources said in separate interviews.

2. Well, SOME of the infants and SOME of the people in ICU aren't POTENTIAL
..terrorists.

But everyone else is...at least in the way BushCo see us.

Because if we REALLY knew what they were doing to us, we'd be in the streets in force.

9. That's not the rationale behind the program.
They don't consider a fifth of the population to be terrorist threats. Rather the idea is to data-mine millions of Americans, the vast majority of whom are non-terrorists, to find "suspicious patterns". From these patterns, they supposedly find evil-doers who hate our freedom.

I'm not saying this is valid. I'm just saying that's what it is.

12. it's your civic duty to turn them in ...
i'm sick of this constant questioning of the administration ... if they say there could be up to 60 million terrorists in this country, who the hell are you to disagree?

are you aware of the fact that people right inside our very country threatened to use nuclear weapons against defenseless peoples overseas? are you aware that the US defense budget is larger than the rest of the world's combined? do you have any idea about the toxicity of these weapons to the environment? are you aware of the terrible toll they can take on civilian populations in terms of very high death rates from cancer? these people don't respect the rule of law ... they use violence as a means to procure their greedy monetary objectives for themselves and their friends ...

and more than 60 million Americans voted in 2004 to give these terrorists more power and more time to wreak havoc on citizens inside and outside America ... are those who fund, vote for and condone terrorism not terrorists themselves???

so before you go whining about the accuracy of 60 million terrorists inside the US, think about the danger these people pose to life on the planet ... and realize that it is your civic duty to turn them in to the authorities ... help us lock up a republican today ...
