Did anyone catch the Today Show this morning?
I flip channels to keep me awake in the morning while I get ready for the office, and I caught the Today Show's lovefest over Steve Bridges. They said how he was a real Bush supporter and was a youth minister. Then they went on to show clips of his other impersonations.

For his Ahhhhnold Schwartenagger one I heard something like, "I'm concerned about childhood obesity, so I've got a new program. The No Child's Behind Left Alone Program."

Does anyone else find that perverse? Or is that he's a male Bush supporting youth minister that makes me hear that "joke" as something a pedophile would say?

I sent a scolding email to NBC, and I'm sooooooo no prude. But this really ticked me off.

3. I think I had just flipped the channel from the Early Show and they
had been talking, yet again, about online predators, so the child molester meme was in my head.

2. I find it nauseating that they are showcasing a Presidential imitator

instead of asking the real "Pretzledent" the tough questions.
Just a pathetic indication of what the MSM is all about.

It is like BREAD AND CIRCUS for the citizens of Rome, and equally sickening.

4. I guess we'll be seeing him meet up with Cindy Sheehan in Crawford
one of these days. God knows the real pretzeldent won't show.

5. I heard a similar story on MSNBC this morning.
I thought "Great, another subtle way to try to undermine Colbert--run a ton of stories on the other guy."

But then Alison Stewart had a story on her afternoon show "The Most" about how the Colbert story just has legs and legs, thanks to the blogosphere. They even ran clips of him again.
