CADDELL: He looks like a fighter pilot.
MATTHEWS: He looks for real. What is it about the commander in chief role, the hat that he does wear, that makes him -- I mean, he seems like -- he didn't fight in a war, but he looks like he does.
Exactly Chris, exactly. He didn't fight. He looks like he did, but he didn't - and he could have. And that about explains everything, doesn't it? Bush needed to prove his manliness and chose Iraq to whomp on. The Iraqi Army was broken and Bush thought they'd be a pushover, which they were. But it was what happened after the invasion, the situation he was warned about and ignored, that is costing us so much today.
What we see today is every indication of a poor leader and an ego-driven, reckless man. The approval ratings we see today merely show that the nation is slowly realizing he is incompetent, out of touch and without a clue.
Do they understand now why we demanded "Anybody But Bush"? Do they see it now? Do they understand the protests? The unrelenting Bush criticism from the Left since Day 1? Will they admit that they were wrong and we were right?
Do not let the revisionists and apologists have their say. 2006 means EVERYTHING. Do not ridicule your friends or family members who voted for Bush in 2000 or 2004. Convert them. People are beginning to see the truth. Help them get there if they aren't there yet. Vote out the Bush-enablers, be they (R) or (D). They no longer deserve the support of the American people. Good luck.
