some interesting info on Richard Perle

Subject: Why would the BBC interview Richard Perle on US position on Iran?

According to the BBC's own archive, Richard Perle resigned from his position on the Pentagon advisory board in March 2003. Yet this morning, it was Richard Perle that the BBC was interviewing in depth about the US plans in Iran. Was this at the recommendation of the State Dept.? The BBC must have had some indication that his opinion represents the USA. Rather curious, isn't it?

1. I can't say for sure why the BBC would be interviewing Perle,
but I do know that his signature is on several letters written to Presidents Clinton and Bush and to Congress by PNAC. If you've never been to their website, you should check it out, especially the letter to President Clinton in January, 1998.

3. I saw him on the Lerher report on PBS this.......
week and thought Now the snake comes out from under the rock. It struck me funny that they were asking this guy, of all people, about the Iran situation and no one had the balls to say "Wasn't it your ass that got us into this mess to begin with?

The only thing I need to know is that General Tommy Franks called Perle "the stupidest motherfucker on the planet."

7. Uh, Uh. Not him.
Franks was referring to Douglas Feith - another PNAC'er.

Perle ain't stupid, just malevolent.

6. They simply removed him from the heat of an intense spotlight

Did you think he had retired and was twiddling his thumbs on the sidelines?

People in the sovereign global elite (regardless of disagreement on issues) never 'die', they just get re-circulated, repositioned or work through back channels. Perle is still a major player, a buddy of Wolfowitz, a regular at Bilderberg, and one of the main architects of the invasion of Iraq (which also is set on pre-emtpively targeting Iran). Why wouldn't the BBC seek his explanation of events in Iran? He wants to send a message to Iran that what happened in Iraq will happen to Iran unless they cooperate.

Richard N. Perle
From SourceWatch

Long-time Washington cold warrior Richard N. Perle is a man of many hats: Pentagon policy adviser (resigned February 2004), former Likud policy adviser, media manager, international investor, op-ed writer, talk show guest, think tank expert, and ardent supporter of the war in Iraq.

Known in Washington circles as "The Prince of Darkness," Perle is associated with the American Enterprise Institute and the Project for the New American Century, both of which have been prominent behind-the-scenes architects of the Bush administration's foreign policy, in particular its push for war with Iraq.

He is closely allied with former Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Dundes Wolfowitz, another Iraq hawk. Perle is also a vocal supporter of Israel and a critic of Saudi Arabia. Perle is on the Advisory Board of the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA), and is a former chairman of the Defense Policy Board, a Defense Department advisory group composed primarily of former government officials, retired military officers, and academics.

8. Remember back in 2003?
Richard Perle was the one who said, "Children will be singing songs about us in the future"**. Meaning = we will be so loved that kids will actually dedicate songs to us, like the Star Spangled Bannner, Oh Say Can you see and so on.

**I wonder if he mean Iraqi children? (the ones that are still alive)

10. "...just wage total war..."
"If we let our vision of the world go forth, and we embrace it entirely, and we don't try to piece together clever diplomacy but just wage total war, our children will sing great songs about us years from now."
- Richard "Prince of Darkness" Perle

Come to think of it, there are a lot of evil Richards about: Richard Nixon, Richard Helms, Richard Cheney, Richard Perle... they're all called "Dick".

13. Very good point. Perle is bad news. I think he's truly earned his
nickname in Washington power circles -- Prince of Darkness.

A real yuck monster.
