Democrats need to big wins this Fall if we want to any positive change and this will also put us in a stronger position for 2008! YES, it can be done. We can win both houses of congress and the governorships!

We WILL gain seats this Fall!
Remember, if make it happen, we could have the following:

House: 210-238 Seats (218 Majority)
Senate: 47-53 Seats (51 Majority)
Governorships: 26-30
State Houses: 51%-58%

4. do you think it can really be done?
I would love to see Sue Kelly and Mike Sweeney get beat in NYS. We have Eliot Spitzer and Hillary Clinton running this year, and they should be able to bring a couple dems with them on their coattails.

God willing.

3. I agree but...
have serious doubts about our election system. We really need to focus on the rigging of election by Diebold and the other electronic machines as well as the media. Without a fair vote count how can we ever have a democracy.

7. So true
Here's another example of the failing voting machines. Here in Pennsylvania(Allegheny County, Pittsburgh) they just purchased voting machines from the Sequoia company, they purchased machines from the same company that had the faulty machines in Cook County, Illinois who had problems during the illinois primary. And these machines during a test basically broke down and the number of votes for each candidate were off and not to mention they were easily hacked into.

8. Dems have to build a National strategy against "Bush/Congress"
as failed Regime. A lot depends on Gov. Dean and Party Chaiman and his ability to coordinate with
congressional leadership, Kerry and other party leaders.

9. Exactly! This must be a national campaign..
and we must have candidates running in all 435 districts just as the GOP did back in 1994. That way, the Democrats will be able to fully catch the anti-GOP wave. You would be suprised to see some of the Repugs who will be defeated.

10. This is exactly Gov. Dean's strategy
He explains it herein this appearance in Oakland last week. Howard Dean is the only guy in DC who knows what's up.
