Dean said one of the Republican "henchmen" said the "Democrats wanted to withdraw immediately" from Iraq. Not even John Murtha suggested an "immediiate withdrawal."

Thank you, Dr. Dean, for calling them on it, cause the news media sure have not. He is not shutting up, and is gettting said what he wants to get said. Go, Dr. Dean!

He's now talking about Bush's Medicare Part D, the medicare prescription program.

"We need a president who will tell us the truth."

"We're focused on 2006."

Good thing Dean filibustered, becasue the segment was very short, and Dan Bartlett, Whitehouse spinner, will be up shortly!

3. Dean did great.
I would give him an A+. He did not react to attempts to "bait" him; instead, he responded with very insightful, focused answers. For example, when he was asked why the public doesn't believe the democrats have a plan for Iraq, he noted that polls indicate the public will vote for democrats in '06, largely because of Iraq. He said Bush ignored the advice of the military when he invaded Iraq (in fact, Dean said it twice!). And when she asked him who would be the presidential nominee in '08, he said that it would be up to the voters, and that unlike the republicans, our party values the voters' opinions.

The guy is good. This morning, he was very good.

4. Who was doing the 'interview'? I rather sarcastically call
it an interview because when it's a dem, it's always an attempt to talk over them and put words in their mouths (which apparently didn't work this time). When it's a repub they let them say any outrageous thing that the want.

5. Howard Dean
may have a temper, but he is one of the sharpest guys you could
ever want to meet, and his bowing out of thge next presidential
race freed him of having to be PC. He can be caught off-guard, but
it isn't easy, and he gives as good as he gets in interviews,
except when he went up against Stephen Colbert last December.
That was not open to the public or the media, but take it from me,
Howard met his match that time. However, right-wing talk hosts
from the so-called mainstream media (not to mention those from
National Hate Radio)always have a tough time talking around him. He's just too smart for them.

6. Soledad O'Brien. Funny how they tend not to interrupt the Rethugs!
Not only that, they tend to let them prattle on, filibuster, for as long as they like. Craven media talking heads at work!
