when r we gonna get an apology from the Dems who voted for the war?
and please don't tell me that they were not privy to the BS intelligence or that Bush jumped the gun. RESPONSIBLE LEADERS WOULDN'T ABDICATE AUTHORITY TO WAGE WAR--ESPECIALLY WHEN W. WAS THE PRESIDENT. ....or did I miss something?

2. when is your monkey-boy of a president...
that claims to be a cowboy, going to own up that he was too scared to the duel that Saddamn challenged him to, and could have saved tens of thousands of lives, at least, and TRILLIONS of dollars?

#1 - several Dems who voted for IWR HAVE apologized.
#2 - they didn't have access to the same intelligence. Claiming otherwise is a republican talking point.

there are so many other things wrong with your post.... this has been beat to death.... and oh by the way, this is DEMOCRATIC Underground.

9. uh, I said in the post that not having the access to the intelligence...
is irrelavent since it's unconstitutional for Congress to abdicate its authority. Period. Second, my point is that as an entire PARTY there hasn't been that apology... a person shouldn't have to go out of his way to learn this stuff. And, again, I said in the original post that I KNOW they didn't have access to the same intelligence. But, most of all, the 4 dems who ran for president despite having authorized the war are the ones that should have apologized...and not run for President on those grounds. ...silly me for expecting them to live up to a higher standard of accountability they preach about Bush not doing.

25. IWR would have prevented war if adhered to - If you blame IWR instead
Edited on Wed Feb-08-06 06:06 PM by blm
of Bush then you let Bush off the hook for violating its guidelines.

Gen. Clark never blames the IWR - he blames Bush for not adhering to it and using force as a last resort as intended.

11. and then 3. Didn't LOOK to those I listend to like Chomsky, Ridder,
Hans Blix, RAmsey Clark, Clinton's CIA & NSA people warning of Usamah bin Laden(not Saddam H.).
Just imagine how many voices had to be ignored to buy into the Neo Conservative's PNAC, and the Office of Special Plans and the OIL industry lobbyists assertions about IRAQ WAR MAKING benefits if you were in government with even better access to info than the PEACE COMMUNITY?

5. Not true.
Edwards and Kerry and probably others have apologized for voting for IWR.

But in any case, IWR WAS NOT A VOTE FOR WAR. Sheesh. :eyes:

10. I already said I KNOW it wasn't a vote war...
but it did AUTHORIZE Bush to wage war so why do you make that distinction? my friggin' point is that they TRUSTED W. THAT in and of itself is unforgiveable. and even if Kerry and Edwards have apologized, doing it after the campaigns simply is like not doing it at all.

P.S. You're pretty obvious. You'll have to do better than that to accomplish your objectives here.

13. Do you really think people decide what their candidates should
do because someone gets on a blog and says you should demand this or that from your candidates?

Semantic point taken, but it could have been reflected in the OP better.

18. I'm expecting them to NEVER break the Constitution...
and that's exactly what they did by allowing the President to decide by himself that it was time to unleash the military. They're not EVER supposed to allow ANY president that authority, even if it was the one and only Wes Clark, but it was ESPECIALLY stupid and irresponsible to trust a Magoo like Bush!!!

22. how many times do I have to say that bad intelligence is irrelevant
I don't care if Bush was the most upstanding, honest guy in the world and even Wesley Clark and Brent Scrowcroft had thought the intelligence was good enough to take us to war: CONGRESS IS NOT SUPPOSED TO ABDICATE ITS AUTHORITY TO WAGE WAR. ...but doing so with a dufus like Bush just makes it 100000000 times more egregious.

21. Hey, Hold Your Breath!....
Don't!

They are STILL PLAYING IT OUT. And the same little piggies will roll over as we invade Iran, too.

I hope there are some like Murtha that will not be afraid to speak out now and in the future, but fully half (check the DLC roster)of our representatives are PRO-EMPIRE. Make no mistake. They care of nothing more than their campaign war chests and their re-election chances and their golden parachutes.

:puke:
