Kerry Adds Momentum With Endorsements

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Continuing to build on a string of big-name endorsements, John Kerry (news - web sites) sought to broaden his message Saturday by arguing that his campaign is designed to "offer America hope and leadership." snip

Emboldened by solid poll standings in states holding contests Tuesday, Kerry has for days been ignoring his Democratic rivals and focusing his fire on President Bush (news - web sites). He has gradually expanded his campaign theme to offer voters a positive message that has the ring of a general election stump. snip

Adding to his momentum, Kerry picked up still more backing. Michigan Gov. Jennifer M. Granholm and Lt. Gov. John Cherry endorsed him Saturday, as did Rep. Sander Levin, D-Mich. snip

"The commander in chief also has a responsibility to the troops," said Kerry. "This president went to Arlington National Cemetery to lay a wreath and the very next morning the administration tried to push 1.2 million veterans off the VA (Veterans Administration)."

1. Endorsements in my view do not provide momentum
they only signify the presence of momentum.

3. Falling objects in my view do not provide gravity
they only signify the presence of gravity.

Actually, that is true. I just dicked on myself.

5. Endorsements deliver votes.
When an elected official or an organization endorses a candidate, it means that they have reached a consensus agreement with their members or supporters, who pledge to work for and go to the polls and vote for the endorsed candidate. It's not just one man or woman saying, "Gee, this candidate is neat."

that sure worked for Dean. :eyes:

I'm not saying Endorsements are bad. It is just that I don't think they are of much value to a campaign.

2. And he adds money with corporate donations

That was on Drudge. Don't get me wrong, I still like the guy and will vote for him if he's nominated. I prefer Dean's grass-roots fund-raising strategy. More politicians should go for lots of small donations.

8. I would like corporate criminals like Ken Lay to be imprisoned
and have the people's voice heard instead of the wealthy corporations and PAC's, but that's just me.
